Just experimenting with a few ideas to keep the worms interesting, this one looks a little too much like a wizard casting a spell but aside from that I think arms suit worms.
I use small pieces of card to pump up my Posca pens and get them inked up and ready to use. Rather than waste the card I thought I'd draw a little worm on it. This one is loosely based on a Lee Mason skatedeck that looks awesome.
I don't get to cut stencils as much as I'd like to, its enormously time consuming so I was pleased to see a recent one made its way to its new owner safely. This is Walter, as you can see he is over the moon with his new piece of art.
Check out the Puglaw stencils here. Last week my wife said to me I need to go to work with her because she needed some help writing on some large boards. I agreed to help out but didn't really know what I was letting myself in for. Today I found out we were going to work at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough which is a beautiful building that has been a hospice for the last 20 years providing palliative care. The job was simple but emotional, we had to write the words "before I die I want to" at the top of four large boards. The plan is to screw the four boards together into a giant cube and take them to various locations and ask people to write what they want to do before they die on them. Happy with how they turned out considering we didn't plan anything, we just turned up and painted. It was a good afternoon. Find out more about Thorpe Hall and consider donating here. So I've recently installed an app called moldiv that I'm really liking for photo collages. What I love about it is the little button that randomises the photos and frames. It also does all the basics well like having plenty of templates and a simple way to add text. Here are some recent results. This is a worm I did for a friend that took some great shots of a paint jam I attended. Love the font on this one. Another canvas for a friend. Gone for that Shephard Fairey look which I'm a huge fan of and struggle not to copy all the time. Not too keen on how the collage turned out but you get the idea. Some free art I dropped off today. What I like about this one is that each section of the collage is the same photo. Just makes the whole thing a lot more interesting to look at. Simple layout this one and the font works well by using the background as the fill colour. Pretty sure there will be more of these from me over the coming months. Check me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Late edit. Forgot this one :) |
