It was the opening of the City Treasures exhibition at Harriets in Peterborough last night. It was very well attended which was down to Dawn Birch-James who perfectly organised the event. Plenty of Peterboroughs artistic talent was there, I got to speak to Process Smith (Blok Collective and Overground founder), Tony Nero (soon to be exhibiting in San Francisco), Luisa and Paco Calvo and Diane Nowell (Soon to be exhibiting in Florida). Looks like I'm not the only Peterborough artist that finds more opportunities abroad than in my home town. Step up Peebo.
Some shots below of the preview...I'll be honest, they are not my usual crowd. In fact one old boy asked me if they were my photos! I didn't tell him they were stencils. I've just updated the KORP ON TOUR page to include a recent exhibition I attended in Cambourne. The exhibition was a success because it raised near on £1,000 for the charity and I got a couple of sales and commissions from it. Check out the pictures here from the Cambourne Art Exhibition for EACH.
The Cambourne Art Exhibition for East Anglian Childrens Hospices went well. Sales and commissions on the night mean I'm going to have a busy few weeks, especially with Upfest just around the corner. I forgot to take my camera so I had to record this video on my Nano. The first 25 seconds of footage is Craig Kerrecoe's work. A little update on an exhibition I'll be involved in soon. Cambourne Art Exhibition is a one night only special art exhibition and charity fundraising event in aid of EACH (East Anglian Children's Hospices). A group of local artists have gathered together to create this wonderful event, donating 30% of all sales proceeds on the night to EACH. There will also be a charity raffle with a selection of fantastic art prizes, generously donated by the participating Artists/Makers and other prizes donated by our sponsors.
This event is a great opportunity to view & buy original paintings, prints, photographs & sculpture directly from the following local Artists: Laurence Broderick Neil Graham-Cameron Sion Eleri Hilary Gretton Craig Kerrecoe Kaine Kulczak John Lyons Jo Tunmer Contact us directly: cambourneartexhibition 'at' mail.com if you have any questions or if you would like to reserve free tickets for this event.
